Mid Atlantis Active Sports offer a wide range of youth programs for all ages
Mid Atlantic Active Sports (MAAS) are committed to providing children with an exciting action packed program, that will help motivate them to want to do more. MAAS has a variety of programs designed for different ages and abilities.
Little Adventurers 3 – 6 year olds
This program is designed to provide young children in the early stages of development, the opportunity to experience a variety of sports in a safe fun environment. Emphasis is placed on cognitive & motor skill development. Coaches that work with these young children have attended national youth development courses and have a patient fun personality.
Activities include, but are not limited to:
Soccer - flag football l- basketball – kickball - tug-o-war, T-ball - Olympic style track and field -dodge ball
Classes are typically 1 hour a week for 6 weeks. This can be customized to meet the needs of your group
MAAS Summer Sport Weeks
Sport weeks are conducted in local parks and typically run Monday thru Friday. Sport weeks are offered in Full Day 9-3.30pm and ½ Day programs 9am – Noon There are 3 levels of MAAS Sport Weeks to meet the challenges each camper wishes to undertake.
SSW level-1 Ages 6-10
Designed for younger children looking for experience in different sports for the first time. Staff are experienced in teaching the fundamentals in a variety of sports to ensure children a positive, fun experience in a new activity. Sports included are:
Basketball – Soccer – Flag/touch football – volleyball – baseball/softball – kickball – cricket – Lacrosse – tug-o-war – dodge ball – ultimate Frisbee
SSW level-2 Ages 8 – 12
Level 2 camps are designed for children that have had some experience in some of the sports and are looking to increase their level of technical ability in these areas. Lessons are taught at a quicker pace than level 1 camps and will cover more advanced tactics to each sport.
Sports included are:
Basketball – Soccer – Flag/touch football – volleyball – baseball/softball – kickball – cricket – Lacrosse – tug-o-war – dodge ball – ultimate Frisbee
SSW level-3 Ages 12-16
Level 3 camps are action packed and require a higher level of physical exertion than level-2. Day trips away from the ‘home’ location maybe required for some activities. In these cases separate liability and transportation documents will be required.
Sports included are:
Soccer – paintball – Ultimate Frisbee – Lacrosse – Indoor rock climbing – dodge ball – Cricket – baseball/softball – Basketball – Olympic Style track & field
